They spent the first few minutes running their hands over the soft fabric, amazed that this beautiful new space was just for them. It made our classroom feel like a true community and showed them that people care deeply about their comfort and learning.How We Are Using the New SpaceOur new carpet has instantly become the heart of our daily routine, especially during morning meetings and read-aloud sessions. Just yesterday, the students gathered on the rug for our interactive storytime, and for the first time, everyone had their own comfortable, defined space to sit. Having this dedicated area has completely changed the energy of our lessons; the children are much more focused, collaborative, and eager to sit together to share their ideas during group discussions.Next Steps in Our ClassroomMoving forward, we are using our new rug as the launchpad for a peer-reading project. Next week, students will pair up with a \"reading buddy\" to sit on the carpet together and practice their buddy-reading skills.
