Because of your generosity, our young artists were able to explore new materials and express themselves in exciting ways. The new paper, brushes, and paints were an immediate hit. During our penguin painting activity, the children carefully used the new brushes to paint their penguins, experimenting with shapes, colors, and textures. They were so proud of their work, and it was wonderful to see their confidence grow with every brushstroke on beautiful, sturdy paper. \r\n\r\nDuring our Building Study, the children used the paints and brushes to create their own \"blueprints.\" They talked about buildings, shared their ideas with friends, and imagined what their structures might look like in real life. It was a beautiful mix of creativity and learning.\r\n\r\nAnother highlight was our Fashion Show. The children dressed dolls using pieces of fabric and then proudly sent their paper dolls \"walking the runway.\" The room filled with laughter, cheering, and excitement as each new design was revealed. It was truly a smashing success.\r\n\r\nOne child said it best:\r\n\"This school is so much fun! I like to do art!\" What could be better than hearing that?\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, our classroom is filled with joyful, hands-on moments where children can create, imagine, and feel proud of what they make. Every painting, every design, and every tiny collage helps them discover something new about themselves.\r\n\r\nAnd we have one more exciting project coming soon! The children will be creating 3D bread sculptures, and they are already very curious and excited about it. We could share an update with you later so you can see what our little artists create.\r\n\r\nThank you for helping make our classroom a place where creativity grows every day. Your kindness truly makes a difference.","fullyFundedDate":1765246819296,"projectUrl":"project/hands-full-of-art-hearts-full-of-joy/9913393/","projectTitle":"Hands Full of Art, Hearts Full of Joy!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Snetkoff","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3087052_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1757300647038","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3087052"},{"teacherId":10402725,"projectId":10012281,"letterContent":"Words fall short in expressing how thankful we are for the generous donations and kind words supporting this project. The Anime Club has grown from just 8 students in 3rd and 4th grade to over 30 students from grades 3–5 now. Seeing this community grow has been truly inspiring. I will always remain a firm believer that a person who doesn't like to read simply hasn't found the right book yet. Reading is fundamental to me not only as a teacher, but as a person. It brings me so much joy to see children excited about reading. Whether the content is a manga or a nonfiction text, reading is reading.\r\nSeeing students reading manga while walking through the hallways or during dismissal, or during silent reading time (as captured in the candid photos below) is beyond anything I imagined this club could become. Through this reading club, I hope students continue to grow their love of reading while also developing an appreciation for art, illustration, fantasy, and thinking outside the box. Many characters in anime emphasize perseverance, resilience, and the belief that nothing is unachievable, which are all powerful messages for young readers to connect with.\r\n\r\nThank you all again for your support and encouragement. While trying the scents, many didn't like the licorice smell, but guessed the banana aroma was the most exciting moment!\r\n\r\nThe science viewers, especially for sea life and animals, have captured everyone's attention. One student exclaimed, \"I see a whale! That's sooooo huge!\" and even learned that whales are not fish—what a wonderful discovery!\r\n\r\nThe sand table has become even more exciting with little trucks, bulldozers, and excavators making curvy tracks on the sticky sand—gooey, fun, and best of all, no mess!\r\n\r\nWithout generous people like you, this excitement and discovery would not be possible.
