Your donations brought us closer to having the basic necessities that made a meaningful difference, especially for my students with special needs, who relied on clear routines, accessible materials, and tools that helped them stay engaged and confident.\r\n\r\nEach item in this project was used by every student, and as a teacher, I stretched these supplies to last through the entire school year and often beyond. We became incredibly resourceful, but even the simplest tools transformed learning: a lined sticky note helped a student organize their thoughts into a strong paragraph, and a fresh Expo marker meant we could write without guessing whether it had dried out. These small things added up to big moments of success.\r\n\r\nBy funding this project, your donation gave my students what they needed not just for that school year, but for the years that followed. Your support ensured our classroom was a place where learning felt possible, supported, and joyful. Thank you for providing supplies that truly impacted our day‑to‑day learning. \r\n\r\nThis year's project focuses on providing fresh classroom essentials, like updated writing tools, organizational supplies, and daily learning materials, to ensure my students have everything they need to learn confidently and successfully throughout the 2026–27 school year.","fullyFundedDate":1693315831912,"projectUrl":"project/classroom-super-supplies/7327833/","projectTitle":"Classroom Super Supplies","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Gonzalez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp465019_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1683125006216","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/465019"},{"teacherId":465019,"projectId":7327286,"letterContent":"Our 4th and 5th grade students thrived with the resources you helped bring into our classroom. The cozy rug and bean bags quickly became the heart of our reading corner, giving students a comfortable, inviting space to stretch out with a book, collaborate with classmates, or take a quiet moment to self-regulate. We used the flexible layout to support small‑group reading instruction, independent literacy stations, and calm‑down routines, so important for students with special needs. Each routine was made easier because the room finally felt like a place designed for learners.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first walked in and saw the materials, their reactions were priceless. They lit up with excitement, immediately gravitating toward the rug and bean bags, running their hands over the new textures, and commenting on how \"homey\" the room felt. Many of them said it was the first time a classroom space felt truly theirs. That sense of ownership translated into more engagement, more focus, and a renewed enthusiasm for learning.\r\n\r\nAs we move into the 2026–27 school year, your generosity continues to make an impact. I am welcoming a new group of 3rd and 4th grade students with special needs who are working on foundational reading skills, self‑regulation strategies, and most importantly a growing joy for reading. Thanks to you, and your continued donations they will be able to begin their journey in a space that supports their needs, celebrates their strengths, and encourages them to see themselves as readers. Seeing how transformative your support was before is exactly why I'm excited to share my new classroom project with you, another opportunity to spark growth and joy for a new group of learners. Your contribution won't just enhance a classroom; it will set the stage for growth, confidence, and countless small victories that continue to unfold.","fullyFundedDate":1688044565095,"projectUrl":"project/a-cozy-learning-area/7327286/","projectTitle":"A Cozy Learning Area","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Gonzalez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp465019_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1683125006216","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/465019"},{"teacherId":103406,"projectId":10157256,"letterContent":"It is with tremendous gratitude that I am honored to write this impact letter. As a school counselor, I see every day how much it matters for students to feel safe, understood, and included. Our school is working intentionally to build a more supportive and engaging environment through restorative circles, a PBIS student market, and a sensory‑friendly room. These initiatives help us meet students' social‑emotional needs while also strengthening their sense of belonging and connection.\r\nYour generosity directly supports these efforts. The supplies you've helped fund will allow us to create spaces where students can regulate their emotions, practice communication skills, celebrate positive choices, and access the tools they need to be ready to learn. Your generosity has made an impact on well-deserving students. The markers, staples, and classroom supplies have been wonderful for me to have on hand, as these are consumables that often tend to get used up very quickly. The magnetic hooks have come in handy for me to hang anchor charts and visual aids during lessons.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, the Scholastic News and accompanying lessons that go with these engaging articles have been wonderful! I love seeing my students enjoying the content in these magazines with the added bonus of us working on crucial reading skills, such as how to use details to answer questions about the articles.
