With a set of headphones and a wireless CD player, my students can engage in various listening activities tailored to their English language proficiency level. Students will become more independent and learn how to become active listeners while working at a listening center. Listening skills are an essential part of communication skills and in everyday life. There is a difference between hearing and listening. In a bilingual setting, we focus on the importance of listening, not just in English, but in their native language, as well. With a listening center involving headphones, I could help my students increase their listening comprehension level while acquiring a second language. With the use of a wireless CD player and headphone set, my bilingual students could engage in a listening center to reinforce listening skills and language development. You can help us by donating to this project so my students can have a wonderful listening center.
