Your support of our project, \"Tech and Tactile Tools to Power Our Learning,\" has brought meaningful new resources into our hands—and our learning has already grown because of it.\r\nThe tech tools you helped fund are giving our students new ways to explore, create, and practice essential skills. The tactile materials have been especially powerful for our hands-on learners, allowing them to grasp concepts more deeply and stay engaged during lessons. Every day, we see students collaborating, problem-solving, and discovering new confidence as they use these tools.\r\nYour gift has made a real difference. You didn't just provide materials—you opened doors for our students, helped spark curiosity, and showed them that their education matters to people beyond our classroom walls.\r\nWe are so grateful for your kindness and belief in our learning. My students were super excited to open the items you helped to bring to our classroom. They immediately noticed the boxes and were curious not only to open them but know who had gifted us such special gifts. \r\nThe materials are helping my students to become more independent, to work on their motor skills and to explore materials they had never had access to. The Tri-mirror, for example, allows my students to see not only the projects they are building but to see themselves forming these projects. This creates a sense of autonomy and pride. The ligt table is a magical station for my students; They love making shapes and different drawings and see how it becomes alive through the use of light. The Montessory trays are also a great source of independence and it helps them to develop strong motor skills and sense of direction.\r\nEvery morning when I open the doors and put the light on in my classroom, I love to see the materials that with this donation have made our classroom a little bit more magical. I Can't wait to see how my students continue to learn and grow with the use of these materials. Thank you again for kindness and generosity.","fullyFundedDate":1755908146576,"projectUrl":"project/learning-through-play/9611109/","projectTitle":"Learning through Play!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Samayoa","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp269621_orig.jpg?crop=705,705,x1895,y1018&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1579560544590","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-samayoa"},{"teacherId":9482967,"projectId":8943727,"letterContent":"Your donation has a profound impact on our classroom. As our room is a dual hydroponics and math room, we need to capitalize our space. Reducing my teacher table meant that only four chairs would fit, tightly, for small groups. Our SIX purple stools fit perfectly within the space and brighten the classroom to make it even more welcoming! When the boxes arrived, our scholars could barely contain their excitement to have more \"Ms. Bair time\" with brand new furniture. \r\n\r\nThe combination of the step stool and the ink for our printer means that I am able to install instructional supports more easily while making them more eye-catching. It also means that the large supports posted in the room can exactly mirror supports in students' notebooks with colorful, differentiated guides. \r\n\r\nOur class truly would not have these materials without your support. I deeply appreciate each gesture and donation to improve our learning space for academics and comfort.","fullyFundedDate":1733274813062,"projectUrl":"project/small-group-supports/8943727/","projectTitle":"Small Group Supports","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Bair","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9482967_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1729797871603","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-bairs"},{"teacherId":9482967,"projectId":8686204,"letterContent":"Thank you for your support to further inspire our young mathematicians. Through your generous donations, my students are able to incorporate hands-on, gamified learning that secretly bolsters their confidence in mathematics. They were extremely excited about the new, double-sided whiteboards that we use daily for problem-solving and oddly happy about the eraser caps. I'm convinced that mathematicians have their strongest problem-solving skills when they have an eraser that supports their ability to make and correct mistakes without needing to ask for support.\r\n\r\nAnother donation we use almost daily are the headphones. Not only does it allow for a noise-reduced environment, but many students use headphones without the computer to create a quiet, work-conducive environment. Everyone is able to access the learning environment that is suited for them with the manipulatives; our fraction tiles are a particularly hot commodity right now as we are studying equivalent fractions as well as adding and subtracting fractions with like denominators. Soon, we will be using them to learn concepts regarding multiplying fractions by whole numbers as we continue to make connections to parts of a whole and mixed numbers.","fullyFundedDate":1729793423422,"projectUrl":"project/making-math-connections/8686204/","projectTitle":"Making Math Connections","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Bair","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9482967_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1729797871603","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-bairs"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_96276","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":351,"numTeachers":16,"percentFrplEligible":73,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":56,"percentWhite":20,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":11,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"21.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":76.0,"schoolId":96276,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Brooklyn Brownstone School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Brooklyn Brownstone School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-york/new-york-city-dept-of-ed/ps-628k-brooklyn-brownstone-school/96276"}
