Your support has brought so much excitement, comfort, and organization into our learning space, and I want to share just how meaningful your donation has been for us. From the moment the students walked in and saw the new storage cubbies, their faces absolutely lit up. They immediately rushed over to explore them, imagining what would go where, and talking nonstop about how \"official\" our classroom now looked. It may seem like a simple addition, but to them, it felt like a whole new classroom. They took so much pride in organizing their supplies and materials, and it gave them a sense of responsibility that was truly beautiful to see.\r\n\r\nYour donation also allowed us to create a cozy corner filled with comfortable seating and engaging feelings books. This space has already become one of the most important and loved parts of our classroom. Students are drawn to it from the moment they walk through the door. Throughout the day, someone is almost always curled up in the cozy corner, using it as a calm-down spot, a quiet reading nook, or simply a place to reset before returning to their work. The seats you helped provide make the space truly inviting, and many students have said they feel safe and relaxed thereāa gift that is priceless.\r\n\r\nThank you so much for believing in our classroom and investing in my students. Your support has made a lasting difference, and the joy your donation brought into our room is something we will carry with us all year long. The new seating options have been such a welcome addition to our classroom. The students were excited when they first saw the materials and immediately started exploring their choices. They love having the ability to pick what works best for them during our sessions whether it's a cushion, wobble chair feet, a beanbag chair, or a chair rubber band based on how they're feeling that day.\r\n\r\nHaving these options has really helped us get settled more quickly at the start of each session. It gives students a sense of control and helps create a calm and supportive environment, especially for those who may not be fully regulated when they arrive. Now, they have tools that support their focus and readiness to learn.\r\n\r\nAs we move into more complex reading and writing tasks, having these flexible seating choices will continue to be a big part of helping students stay engaged and comfortable. The impact of these donations has been truly transformative. When the students first saw the items, their faces showed signs of relief and a calmness came over several. Many of them expressed how much these items would help them feel more confident and comfortable in their daily lives. It was a touching moment that highlighted the importance of community support in fostering a positive school environment.\r\n\r\nWe have organized these donations into a new care closet, which is now a vital resource for our students. The care closet is stocked with essential items such as toiletries, hygiene products, and other personal care necessities. Students can discreetly access the items they need, ensuring they can focus on their education without the added stress of lacking basic necessities. This initiative has not only improved their well-being but also their academic performance and overall school experience.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we plan to continue expanding the Personal Care Closet to meet the growing needs of our students. Our next steps include organizing regular donation drives, partnering with local businesses for ongoing support, and creating awareness programs to ensure all students know about this valuable resource. We are committed to maintaining and enhancing this initiative to support our students' health, dignity, and success.\r\n\r\nThank you once again for your incredible support.","fullyFundedDate":1733272559244,"projectUrl":"project/personal-cooper-care-closet/8602574/","projectTitle":"Personal Cooper Care Closet!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Giampapa","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp800253_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1472743515502","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/elizabeth-giampapa"},{"teacherId":9134228,"projectId":8531685,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your contributions toward our project. \r\nThe students in theater classes at PS/IS 384 have loved contributing to set design and are very proud to have their work displayed at school events like our upcoming holiday show. My 2nd grade students drew and cut Christmas trees for decor. My Kindergarten and 1st grade students decorated ornaments on which they wrote their favorite holiday food or movie. My second grade students assisted in cutting out the ornaments. My third grade students decorated Christmas lights and helped cut them out as well. We may be a small 5th grade class but at times my girls come to school without eating breakfast or refuse to eat lunch and the snack helps get them to the finish line. THANK YOU! \r\nMy students are also becoming more accustomed to writing their final drafts in pen so the box of pens has come in handy this school year. They are becoming more confident as they venture towards middle school. \r\nMy students like most children love opening boxes especially when they don't know who it is from and I love watching their eyes widen with excitement. It was great explaining to them that a person not known to me donated to our classroom so that they could have items that they needed to be their best selves. I told them, that not only do I believe in them but so do many others out there; so we need to show them.\r\nOur next steps this year are to get my girls to write more without the one on one assistance that they started the year requiring. With the outdoor garden needing less work for the winter we have turned our focus to the seedlings we want to start and how we can increase other student involvement in our small garden adventures. \r\nThank you again for your care and support of our classroom this year.","fullyFundedDate":1725481233182,"projectUrl":"project/classroom-essentials-shipment-2024-09-0/8739186/","projectTitle":"Classroom Essentials Shipment: 2024-09-04","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Giampapa","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp800253_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1472743515502","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/elizabeth-giampapa"},{"teacherId":9225213,"projectId":8537978,"letterContent":"It is because of your generosity I was able to provide all learners with high quality instruction.
