Listening to music is a daily activity in a Pre-k classroom. The audio player I am requesting will allow the children to listen to songs and/or books on CD. The current audio player in the classroom often skips playing songs. Exposing young children to music helps with the development of sounds and meanings of words. Children benefit listening to books on tape/CD just as much as reading the paper book. It is also nice to play relaxing music during quiet time. Soothing music helps the children relax and "wind down" before transitioning into the afternoon schedule. My children love to sing and dance, and they deserve a great audio player.
