Many people use iPads every day, but seeing how they empower students in a school setting is truly remarkable. The text-to-speech, speech-to-text, and interactive literacy tools have opened new pathways for my learners with dyslexia and communication challenges. Students who once struggled to read independently can now listen to grade-level text, follow along, and build confidence. Others are using speech-to-text to get their ideas onto the page for the very first time. The iPads are not only strengthening literacy skills—they are helping me assess whether high-tech AAC is the right long-term support for certain students, ensuring every child has a way to communicate their thoughts and needs.\r\n\r\nThe excitement in our classroom has been incredible. Students are especially drawn to the interactive literacy apps and the ability to \"talk\" their ideas into the device and watch their words appear on the screen. One student who previously avoided writing activities now eagerly volunteers to share his work because the iPad helps him express himself without fear of spelling errors. Another student, who has limited spoken communication, has made huge strides exploring AAC features and is beginning to use the device to greet peers and express preferences—moments that have brought real joy to our classroom community.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has given my students tools that honor their strengths, reduce frustration, and help them communicate and learn with confidence.
