Hello! I am a special education teacher, teaching a Kindergarten & First Grade self-contained bridge class. My class consists of 12 students and two classroom paraprofessionals. My students will have the opportunity to share their emotions through play. Although they were able to express their emotions daily prior to distance learning I have realized that recently they struggle to do so. Not only do they struggle to express their emotions but they also struggle to socialize with their peers. When my Special Needs and ENL students return back to their classrooms they will need to opportunity to express their emotions daily. By using Build Me Emotions they will be able to express their emotions to their peers through play. This will encourage them to interact with their peers and begin to practice using language to express how they feel.
