There are many stray cats in our Bronx neighborhood who have no homes. They roam the streets looking for food and shelter. Although it is not possible to have my students capture the strays and bring them to the vet, we are at least able to feed some of them with this supply of food. Our neighborhood cats were able to get a helpful boost to make it through the cold and windy winter in New York City this year. My students were able to experience the joy of being able to help other creatures.
