During the lunch period I rushed to the office to retrieve it. All of the markers, boards and erasers for our class project were inside that big box. I quickly unpacked them and distributed them to the student's desks. When we arrived back from the cafeteria, there were many wide eyes. The children asked if these things for them to keep. I explained that, yes, some very nice people had donated them to our class. They were ours to use all year long.\r\n \"Really?\" asked one of my boys. \"That was really nice of them!\" I told them that I agreed and that there were a lot of really nice people in the world. We got right to work and gave our new boards a whirl, making equal groups pictures for math and writing repeated addition equations.\r\n Every day the students use their boards for Word Study, Math and even writing.
