Having this requested Brother color laser printer and toner cartridges will allow me to print in color their individual vocabulary cards. It is very important that the students learn that a banana is yellow, and an apple can be red, green or yellow. It is hard for autistic students to generalize skills and use them in real life and learning the name of a banana in color makes it realistic. In order for the students to speak more in school and at home they need to build their vocabulary. We are teaching the students food, transportation, common household items, toys, animals, and actions to name a few categories. With this printer, each student can create a portfolio of vocabulary words to use at home and in school. It will help transfer skills taught in school into the homes. Parents will be able to see all their child's vocabulary words and work on skills at home.
