For a group that has asked about \"the mask project\" since sophomore year, seeing the materials made the experience feel real—and reassured them that their creativity and voices matter.\r\n\r\nAs our next steps, students are refining their designs and beginning the construction of their masks while also drafting a poetic reflection that explains the symbolism behind their work. They will revise these poems through peer workshops and individual conferences before presenting their completed masks and writing to the class.
