There are always benefits to being on an athletic team. You learn how to win and how to lose. You also learn how to succeed and how to fail as a team. It is one of the only ways that we are able to get through a season. Each and every one of us can say that softball had a great impact on everyone. From mentally, physically, and emotionally it has made every player better as a person and a teammate. Softball allowed us to be the people we are today with the growth of new bonds, the health of ourselves, and the discipline that we have within each individual.\r\n\r\nGetting snacks and crocs to receive as a team really showed us that we had a great season. The face of expectancy on the girl's faces as the boxes came into the field was pure. To understand that we all had the same mentality of knowing that hard work was what allowed us to receive such nice privileges. It gave us time to bond and have a sense of being uninformed, united together with new gear. Having something made just for the team made us feel like a more established group. The promise of having each other's back on and off the field assured us the close connection that we would have for the rest of our time as a team. Doing a sport that we are highly driven and dedicated to combined many positive attributes to us for a group. The motivation of never giving up and always putting our best foot forward regardless of anything really helped us to try and win as a team no matter the results. Despite all obstacles, and discouragement, we succeeded.\r\n\r\nBeing a team, we would not be where we are today without our coaches or respect and cooperation with one another. Our chemistry and hardships that we have gone through created new social skills, perseverance, communication, hard work, and decision making that we as individuals can apply to all of the aspects of our lives. Having team bonding sessions really produced results with game performances and connected us to be better people in general. We can say that the crocs were our final gift of being excited about our accomplishments together. One of the final offerings given to us as we all either retired from high school softball or waited for the next year. The snacks and crocs gave us something solid that could hold our memories for us to remember. With the additional tools provided, it has allowed to me to save time and energy in the long term to spend with my students.
