When he encountered letters he did not recognize, he used the Ray-Ban Meta AI glasses to ask for assistance. They love helping me open them. This project focused on items to help my students with their gross motor skills- both indoors and outdoors. With the preschool curriculum, my students receive a daily 45 minute block of gross motor time. Twice a week these minutes occur with their gym teacher. The other three times a week they occur outside, whether permitting.\r\n The students are enjoying using the new bike and helmets outside. Other items we received including the scoop ball set, mini bowling set, toss across beanbag game and small sports balls can be used outside or inside when the weather is less than ideal. The large mesh bag makes it easier to carry these materials from inside to outside, depending on the needs that day. They love helping me open them. This time they were happy to see that we received new art supplies. They enjoyed using the bingo dauber dot markers and crayola markers to create their own masterpieces.\r\n For some of their artwork, I took pictures of their designs and uploaded them. I was then able to send those pictures to our poster maker to enlarge them thanks to the new ACYPAPER plotter paper we received with this project. Some of the dry erase markers will be sent home with students with their activity bags we make for our APTT (academic parent teach team) conferences and the rest will be used for practicing writing our letters and numbers in the classroom. They enjoy using the test tubes from the Learning Resources Rainbow Reactions science lab kit to measure out water and bubbles. With the create and drill kit the students were able to make designs when we were learning about the buildings study.\r\n The students were excited when we used the nursery pots and seeds to grow our own plants. We grew sunflowers and pansies. The students planted the seeds themselves and took turns watering them every day. The students were so excited when several large boxes were delivered to our room. They have been wearing the hoodies every morning when it is still chilly in our classroom. Sometimes they wear the sweatpants bottoms when milk is spilled on their pants or if they have a bathroom accident.\r\n\r\nThe colorful backpacks are the best way for students to carry papers and other items back and forth to school. In addition, the colorful, coordinating tote bags help students keep naptime blankets and sheets free separate from each other. Both of these items help the students keep track of their belongings and develop a sense of responsibility.\r\n\r\nFinally, the cases of snack foods kept our students' bellies content between meals. We even had some extra goodies to send home with them. This project helped us meet some of the basic needs of our students: warmth, food and a feeling of belonging.
