My students have indoor recess quite frequently due to the freezing temperatures in our area. They have been thrilled to use this time to develop their construction skills with all of our new materials!\r\n It's exciting to see both boys and girls gravitating toward the new building materials. They are developing so many foundational engineering skills as they explore the magnetic building materials that were purchased for us. They are creating plans, discussing their construction ideas with their classmates, then trialing their ideas! It's exciting to watch!\r\n Once the students become more comfortable with the materials, I hope to have them work in teams on some basic engineering challenges.
