Every day I gather my students in meeting area on the floor. Having a rug for them to sit on would be so wonderful for them. A comfortable meeting area fosters a supportive, learning, enthusiastic classroom atmosphere. It brings learners together active listening and engagement. My students sit at the meeting area, which is now bare floor. For whole class conversations, they can easily sit in a circle, where they will ALL be able to be on the rug, so they can make eye contact with each other and listen more actively to one another in the group. A colorful classroom rug will make a significant impact on their learning in so many ways!
