Our new lunch cart has given my kindergarteners a wonderful opportunity to become classroom helpers each day. One of our most important goals in kindergarten is to build independence with our students. The children come into school each day and place their lunchboxes and water bottles into the cart. Depending on who is the helper for the day, they get to take our new lunch cart to the cafeteria and return it to the classroom after lunch.\r\nKindergarteners love to be helpers, role play, and be independent! They are thrilled with this new lunch cart! They have told me that they feel as though they are big kids at the grocery store! I even let them use it during free time to play grocery store! The new cart is a big hit!
