These carts have directly impacted my students individualized learning targets. I have assigned each student one of the bins and have put their learning materials inside so that I'm able to easily access them when working with students one-on-one. All of my students are on Individualized Eduction Programs (IEPs) and have personalized educational goals and objectives that meet their specific needs. By having quick easy access to their learning materials I am able to target my students' needs to maximize their learning growth and outcomes. \r\n\r\nMy students are preschool aged and stay with me for 2-3 years depending on their age and when they will attend Kindergarten. As my students learn and grow, their educational goals will be updated and their learning materials will change. These mobile carts are easy to access and transport making it easy for me to modify the materials within them as my students learning needs change. \r\n\r\nMy students may not get as excited over these materials as they would a brand new toy, but what they don't realize is that these carts will aid in their educational journey towards becoming life long learners.","fullyFundedDate":1768855023263,"projectUrl":"project/getting-organized-in-pre-k/10029178/","projectTitle":"Getting Organized in Pre-K","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Kendahl","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3959767_orig.jpg?crop=1198,1198,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1631400158543","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3959767"},{"teacherId":9126057,"projectId":9531188,"letterContent":"My students have been so engaged in learning thanks to your generous support. Our classroom has come alive with excitement around reading. The new books have quickly become favorites—especially the \"Fly Guy\" series and the \"If You Give a Mouse...\" stories. I often catch students rereading them during independent time, sharing funny parts with each other, and proudly taking them to the cozy corner.\r\n\r\nThe roll-and-read games have also become a daily staple in centers. Students are building confidence, fluency, and phonics skills at a pace that feels like true leaps and bounds. Their smiles when they master a new word or beat their previous score say it all.\r\n\r\nOne of the biggest surprises has been how much of a difference the acrylic book displays have made. After we read a story aloud, I display it right away—and students flock to it. Being able to practice with a book they already know and love has boosted both motivation and independence.\r\n\r\nWe are deeply grateful for your donation. The growth you've helped make possible in our literacy block is real, and it's already shaping stronger, more joyful readers. First, we looked at the pencil toppers. Those will be used to add to pencils when students write their final drafts for writing projects. They all began chattering about which ones they wanted and how many they were going to get. The class decided that they would add additional toppers after each final draft to collect as many as they could. \r\n\r\nNext, we unboxed the Paint by Sticker book. The students chose the elephant to start \"painting.\" The colorless elephant is on the board. When students complete a lesson in iReady, they get to add a sticker to the elephant. When the elephant picture is complete, it will be given to one of the students and the class will earn a prize. They decided that the prize should be time with the scented moldable sand. \r\n\r\nFinally, they wanted to start building the block animals. However, we decided that we would save those for our unit on animals in their habitats. They can construct a chosen animal and add it to a diorama. It is a very exciting time in room B-8! Two years later, I'm still getting complements on the classroom lights and covers from parents and administrators.\r\n\r\nThe birthday cups give each child a chance to feel celebrated, while reward stickers and animal erasers motivate them to do their best.
