Most of my students are from low income families and many parents do not speak English. My students are in Kindergarten and all are excited to learn! Their parents want to help them, but many don't know how. Also, these students don't get to experience as much of the world as middle income families. They can't afford to travel, or take their kids to museums. So the way they learn about the world and its possibilities is through books and what I can bring to them in the classroom.
