Our school places a strong focus on Social Emotional Learning (SEL), and we have implemented the Zones of Regulation curriculum school-wide. Students are now able to confidently identify their emotions, communicate how they are feeling, and select appropriate tools to help them regulate those emotions in a positive way.\r\n\r\nEach classroom is equipped with a calm down kit filled with items designed to support students who are feeling in the blue, yellow, or red zones. These kits help students use strategies to return to the green zone — where they feel calm, focused, and ready to learn.
