Because of your donation, my students now have access to new speech and language materials that make learning engaging, hands-on, and meaningful. We have been using these resources during our small-group speech therapy sessions to practice articulation, expand vocabulary, and build social communication skills through structured games, visual supports, and interactive activities. One special moment occurred during a recent lesson focused on practicing speech sounds and turn-taking. Students used the new materials to play a cooperative speech game where they practiced their target sounds while waiting for their turn and encouraging their peers. It was wonderful to see students not only practicing their speech goals but also supporting one another and celebrating each other's successes.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new materials, their excitement was immediate. Many of them eagerly asked to try the games and tools right away, and several students who are typically hesitant to participate became more motivated to join the activity. The bright visuals and interactive components helped capture their attention and encouraged them to practice their speech and language skills more confidently. It was clear that these materials helped transform therapy into something that felt fun and rewarding while still targeting important communication goals.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, these resources will continue to support our ongoing lessons as students work toward improving speech clarity, expanding their language skills, and developing stronger communication with peers and teachers. The next steps for many of my students include using these materials to practice their speech sounds in longer phrases and conversations, as well as applying their communication strategies during classroom activities and social interactions. Your generosity has helped create more opportunities for my students to practice, grow, and build confidence in their voices. Thank you for making such a meaningful difference in our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1769127578862,"projectUrl":"project/des-speech-and-language/10045426/","projectTitle":"DES Speech and Language","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Shelby","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10413832"},{"teacherId":9377775,"projectId":8066333,"letterContent":"My students enjoyed using the vertical Math whiteboards to solve their math equations instead of using paper and pencil!
