Thanks to the incredible generosity of my donors, my pre-kindergarten\r\nclassroom has been transformed into a space where children can truly thrive, both\r\ninside and outside.\r\nThe outdoor materials I received have breathed new life into our playground time.\r\nColorful hula hoops now spin and twirl in the hands of children who are developing their coordination, balance, and gross motor skills with every swivel. My students run, laugh, and challenge one another as they discover what their bodies are capable of. The bright colors spark excitement the moment we step outside, and even my most reluctant movers are drawn into the fun.\r\nTo every donor who contributed to this project: thank you from the bottom of my heart \r\nYou have given my students more than toys — you have given them the gift of joyful,\r\npurposeful play, and the opportunity to grow into curious, confident learners.","fullyFundedDate":1768070066645,"projectUrl":"project/building-brains-through-play/9990828/","projectTitle":"Building Brains Through Play","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Coughlin","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9367328"},{"teacherId":10414023,"projectId":10045789,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generosity and support of my classroom. They absolutely love it, and it has made such a positive difference in our daily routines.\r\nThe magnet tiles have been an amazing addition to our manipulatives time. My students are highly engaged, collaborating, problem‑solving, and having fun while learning. The ice cream counter has been especially impactful, helping many of my students practice counting and develop a stronger understanding of numbers in a hands‑on, meaningful way. I have also been able to laminate important materials, allowing us to reuse them again and again, which has been incredibly helpful for my students.\r\nAs a first‑year teacher, stocking a classroom can be overwhelming, and your support has made it possible to provide my students with valuable resources that I otherwise wouldn't have had access to. My 3rd graders have been using the math games during small group rotations, which has made practicing skills like multiplication, fractions, and problem-solving much more engaging and hands-on. One moment that really stood out was watching a group of students who typically struggle in math light up with confidence as they worked together to solve problems using the games—they were laughing, collaborating, and fully invested in their learning. The flexible seating options have also made a huge difference, allowing students to choose spaces where they feel most comfortable and focused.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the students were beyond excited. There were lots of \"oohs\" and \"aahs\" as we unpacked everything together, and they couldn't wait to start using the new markers, books, and seating options. Many of them immediately gravitated toward the new reading books, eagerly flipping through pages and asking if they could start reading right away. It created such a positive and motivating atmosphere—students truly felt special knowing that people cared enough to support their learning.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, these resources will continue to play an important role in our daily instruction. We are currently working on strengthening both our reading comprehension and math problem-solving skills, and these tools are helping make those lessons more interactive and meaningful. Students will continue to use the math games to build fluency and confidence, while the new books will support independent reading and small group discussions. Because of your generosity, my students are not only learning—they are excited to learn, and that is something that will stay with them far beyond this school year.","fullyFundedDate":1768765581714,"projectUrl":"project/helping-students-learn-feel-and-grow-t/10038038/","projectTitle":"Helping Students Learn, Feel, and Grow Together","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Seth","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8544391"},{"teacherId":493251,"projectId":10031077,"letterContent":"Your generosity has truly transformed our 4th grade classroom into a warm, inviting space where students feel excited to learn and grow. When the wobble chairs arrived, my students were immediately excited and couldn't wait to try them. What stood out most to me was how quickly they settled into learning once they were able to move comfortably. Students who used to struggle sitting still are now able to stay engaged during reading and writing time, simply because their bodies are supported in a way that works for them.\r\n\r\nWe use the wobble chairs throughout the day during small group work, independent practice, and partner activities. One of my favorite moments was watching a student who typically has a hard time focusing sit on a wobble chair and stay fully engaged during a lesson from start to finish. Instead of distracting others or needing frequent redirection, they were able to channel that movement into learning. It has made a noticeable difference not only for individual students, but for the overall flow of our classroom.\r\n\r\nThanks to you, my students have a learning environment that meets their needs and allows them to feel successful. Moving forward, we will continue using flexible seating to support focus, independence, and collaboration as we grow as learners. Students use them every day to practice problems, explain their thinking, and correct mistakes in real time. The vertical workspace encourages strong spacing, clarity, and confidence, and it has transformed how actively my students participate in math.\r\n\r\nThe classroom cleaning supplies you provided have also made an incredible difference. Having tissues, hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes, and spray readily available has helped us maintain a clean, healthy learning environment where students feel comfortable and cared for. Students take pride in helping clean their spaces, and we've built routines around responsibility and respect for our shared classroom.\r\n\r\nBecause of your kindness, my students are better prepared, more engaged, and learning in a space that supports both their academic growth and well‑being. Because of your donation, my students now have access to new speech and language materials that make learning engaging, hands-on, and meaningful. We have been using these resources during our small-group speech therapy sessions to practice articulation, expand vocabulary, and build social communication skills through structured games, visual supports, and interactive activities. One special moment occurred during a recent lesson focused on practicing speech sounds and turn-taking. Students used the new materials to play a cooperative speech game where they practiced their target sounds while waiting for their turn and encouraging their peers. It was wonderful to see students not only practicing their speech goals but also supporting one another and celebrating each other's successes.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new materials, their excitement was immediate. Many of them eagerly asked to try the games and tools right away, and several students who are typically hesitant to participate became more motivated to join the activity. The bright visuals and interactive components helped capture their attention and encouraged them to practice their speech and language skills more confidently. It was clear that these materials helped transform therapy into something that felt fun and rewarding while still targeting important communication goals.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, these resources will continue to support our ongoing lessons as students work toward improving speech clarity, expanding their language skills, and developing stronger communication with peers and teachers. The next steps for many of my students include using these materials to practice their speech sounds in longer phrases and conversations, as well as applying their communication strategies during classroom activities and social interactions.
