Having such a rich selection of titles means students can find books that challenge them and reflect their own interests and experiences.\r\n\r\nIn our classroom, reading time has become one of the most anticipated parts of the day. Students love curling up with their books during independent reading and sharing their favorites with classmates during book talks. I've seen reluctant readers begin to finish their first chapter books cover to cover, and confident readers pushing themselves to explore new genres like historical fiction and fantasy.\r\n\r\nOne of my students, who used to struggle to stay focused during reading, now brings his book to recess because he \"just has to see what happens next.\" Another student proudly declared that she finished her first series ever, a moment that had the whole class cheering!\r\n\r\nBecause of your kindness, my students are not only learning reading skills, they're discovering the joy of reading. Thanks to your generosity, we now have working drawers for the clothes that we keep in the clinic. We can't tell you what kind of impact this has made on our clinic, we are able to keep the clothes clean & organized which helps us be more efficient when they are needed. \r\n\r\nWe were also able to purchase a new ice machine which was desperately needed as our old one was slowly dying. It may be surprising to find that they care, but the kids actually love the new machine. The ice from the new machine is smaller so it allows the kids to mold the bags of ice to the injured area which they think is awesome! \r\n\r\nOur last item of purchase was a new fridge with a separate top freezer; we can't sing it's praises enough! It is so great to not have to try to stuff ice bags into a tiny freezer. We are now able to pre-prepare more bags of ice, once again making us more efficient in our service. The new fridge is also on wheels! Having the fridge on wheels has come in so handy when trying to set up the clinic with the new furniture and it also gives us the ability to quickly move it out of the way should we need more floor space to accommodate things like a student in a wheel chair or to make room for our stools that we use for extra seating when the clinic gets busy.\r\n\r\nAll the items we were able to purchase have changed our clinic for the better. Please know that your donation made a huge difference in the operation of our clinic & that your generosity led to better more efficient care of our students.
