Many of these resources will support the Math standard 1.OA.A.1, using addition and subtraction within 20, 1.OA.B.3 - applying properties of operations to learn about the Commutative Property. NBT standards will also be supported. Other resources support reading foundational standards, such as RF.1.3 - to know and apply grade level phonics and word analysis skills in decoding. Students' social and emotional needs have heightened during the pandemic. The visual story-telling kits and scenarios will help students develop empathy and problem solving skills, which are essential developing skills in elementary school.
