We utilize the games to assist with reading comprehension and math facts skills. When we began playing the games, such as the bingo especially. They were thrown back because they recognize that their parents played Dominios. They thought it was cool that they were able to play a game that their parents play at home Yet, they were being challenged with their multiplication skills. So they very thrilled to be able to play games and not have to write on paper. Also, the parts of speech bingo was the most challenging. It challenged them with remembering the parts of speech and to identify the key words in the sentence. It was nice to see them remembering what the parts of speech were and to see their little brains rolling to try and remember. This game took a little bit longer to play because some required help with reading. Due to this, this game was able to challenge them in their reading skills as well as require them to remember what the parts of speech were. My next steps with my students is to continue to challenge them with the dominos multiplication facts and the parts of speech bingo. I need to be sure I have winning prizes for everyone because they are very competitive. It was a amazing to see their little brains rolling and to watch them learn through play.","fullyFundedDate":1768296817786,"projectUrl":"project/helpful-necessities/9988921/","projectTitle":"Helpful Necessities","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Carter","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9370495"},{"teacherId":8176233,"projectId":10045000,"letterContent":"Thank you kindly for your donations. Because of your kindness, our students now have access to flexible seating, as well as a human skeleton model and internal organ model that have truly transformed our learning environment.\r\nThe flexible seating options have made a tremendous impact on our students' focus, comfort, and engagement. Being able to choose where and how they sit has given them a sense of ownership over their learning. Students who once struggled to stay attentive are now more focused, productive, and excited to participate each day.\r\nIn addition, the human skeleton and internal organ models have brought our science lessons to life in ways that textbooks simply cannot. Our students are able to explore and interact with these models, making deeper connections and gaining a better understanding of how the human body works. Their curiosity has grown, and they are asking thoughtful questions, engaging in discussions, and truly experiencing science in a hands-on way.\r\nYour generosity has not only provided materials, but it has also inspired confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning in our classroom. Your kindness has made a meaningful impact on our students each day. Having access to consistent snacks helps our young learners stay focused, energized, and ready to learn. Many of our students come to school needing that extra boost, and because of you, they are able to fully participate in lessons without the distraction of hunger. Snack time has also become a special moment for building classroom community, where students practice sharing, conversation, and positive social interactions.\r\n\r\nBeyond meeting basic needs, snacks have also supported our learning in exciting ways. We incorporate snack time into hands-on activities that build fine motor skills, such as opening packages, peeling fruit, and using small tools, which strengthens coordination and independence. Additionally, we use snack items for sight word practice—students might read words to \"earn\" their snack or identify labels and letters, making learning fun and meaningful. Your generosity goes far beyond food; it helps nurture both the academic growth and developmental skills of our students. Thank you for making a difference in their daily lives.","fullyFundedDate":1768992383838,"projectUrl":"project/little-growing-minds/10044147/","projectTitle":"Little Growing Minds","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Sitko","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9858202"},{"teacherId":10398544,"projectId":9988977,"letterContent":"My students are using the new resources in so many meaningful ways that have truly helped make our classroom a more inclusive, calm, and happy place to learn. The small stuffed animals have quickly become our classroom pets and are used during independent work time. Students are motivated to listen and follow expectations because they know that students who are on task get to choose a pet first, which has made a positive impact on behavior. The bean bag chair is a favorite reward—our Star Student of the Week gets to trade their regular chair for the bean bag, which makes the recognition extra special. The classroom bench has been one of our most-used items because it stores our manipulatives and doubles as seating during small-group activities. The whiteboards are perfect for games, reviews, and quick checks for understanding, and the large whiteboard easel is used daily during both whole-group and small-group instruction. The headphones are especially important, as they are used every day by students who are unable to afford their own or replace broken ones.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials and were able to use them, their reactions were priceless. They were beyond excited and could not stop smiling. The biggest reactions were to the desk pets and headphones—it felt to them like hundreds of dollars had been spent just for them. Many students kept saying, \"Thank you for making our classroom a better place,\" which truly showed how much these resources mean to them.\r\n\r\nIn the coming weeks, we will continue to use these materials to support learning and engagement. Our classroom pets will be \"writing\" letters to students and to each other as a fun way to prepare for upcoming diagnostic testing. Students will write encouraging notes and practice writing skills while building confidence and excitement for testing. The headphones were already heavily used during our Black History Month research project and will continue to support independent learning moving forward. Because of your generosity, my students feel supported, excited, and ready to learn every single day. Thank you for helping create such a positive classroom environment.","fullyFundedDate":1768052588219,"projectUrl":"project/creating-a-calm-engaging-classroom/9988977/","projectTitle":"Creating a Calm, Engaging Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Smith","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10398544"},{"teacherId":7695708,"projectId":9988781,"letterContent":"We are using the new resources during Junk Journal Club and classroom creative time, where students create personalized journal spreads using a variety of materials.
