We've been using them daily during our literacy centers, especially while practicing building CVC and CVCe words. One special moment that stood out was during a small group activity where students used the tools to build and read words independently—then celebrated their success by earning stickers. It was amazing to see their confidence grow as they realized, \"I can read this!\"\r\nWhen the materials were first introduced, the reaction was pure excitement. The stickers instantly motivated them, and the hands-on tools made learning feel like play. Even some of my more hesitant readers were eager to participate, which made a huge difference in engagement.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we are continuing to build on these foundational skills by working on blending sounds, reading simple sentences, and improving fluency. Students are beginning to apply what they've learned to short stories and partner reading activities. These resources are helping create a strong, joyful foundation in reading, and I'm so grateful for the support that made this possible!","fullyFundedDate":1768269645103,"projectUrl":"project/fun-in-kinder/9996929/","projectTitle":"Fun in Kinder","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Perry","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9360283_orig.png?crop=318,318,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1699492169799","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9360283"},{"teacherId":8910500,"projectId":10024910,"letterContent":"I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for your generous support of our classroom project this year. Because of your kindness, my students have had access to new books and a cozy reading chair that have truly transformed the learning environment in ways that go far beyond what I could have imagined.\r\n\r\nThe moment the books arrived, there was an immediate sense of excitement in the room. Students eagerly gathered around, curious and engaged, flipping through pages and asking thoughtful questions about the stories they would soon explore. For many of my students, access to high-interest, appropriately leveled reading materials can make all the difference in their confidence and motivation. Your donation helped bridge that gap. Instead of seeing reading as a task, my students began to see it as an opportunity—an opportunity to learn, imagine, and connect.\r\n\r\nThe variety of books has allowed me to better meet the diverse needs of my learners. Some students who previously struggled to stay engaged during independent reading time are now among the most enthusiastic participants. I have watched students who were once hesitant readers build stamina, improve comprehension, and even begin recommending books to their peers. These moments are powerful, and they are a direct result of your generosity.\r\n\r\nEqually impactful has been the addition of the cozy chair. While it may seem like a simple item, it has become one of the most cherished parts of our classroom. The chair serves as a special space where students can immerse themselves in a book, take a moment to regulate, or simply feel comfortable and supported. It has become a symbol of positive reading experiences and is often used as a reward or a privilege that students work hard to earn. More importantly, it has helped create a warm and inviting atmosphere that encourages a love of reading.\r\n\r\nI have also noticed a significant shift in classroom culture. Students are more collaborative, more willing to share their thoughts about what they are reading, and more respectful of one another's learning experiences. The books have sparked meaningful discussions, strengthened vocabulary, and supported growth in both reading and writing. These are outcomes that extend beyond academics—they are building skills that will serve my students for years to come.\r\n\r\nAs an educator, it is incredibly meaningful to see students feel proud of their progress and excited about learning. Your support has not only provided materials, but it has also sent a powerful message to my students: that there are people who believe in them, who care about their success, and who are willing to invest in their future. That message matters more than words can fully express.\r\n\r\nThank you for making a lasting impact on my classroom. Your generosity has created opportunities, inspired growth, and brought joy into our daily learning experiences. I am truly grateful for your support and for the difference you have made in the lives of my students.","fullyFundedDate":1768867491261,"projectUrl":"project/cozy-reading-time/10024910/","projectTitle":"Cozy Reading Time","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Clayton","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/claytonforbussflex"},{"teacherId":3169184,"projectId":10031402,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for funding our project. This allowed for less time needed for students to get started on their work. This also cut down on student movement around the room. \r\n\r\nThe IPad charging station kept all 4 classroom IPads charged at all times. This allowed students to play OSMO learning games everyday of the week. The students loved this so much. It increased student learning each day. \r\n\r\nThe book shelves helped get our classroom library organized. Students were easily able to find a book each time they wanted to read. The research points to a phenomenon that I have now experienced in my classroom using this technology. And that is that the recording studio software and Hardware that you have helped us procure starts initially with about 20 minutes of Chaos as students explore. Within 20 minutes structure begins to emerge and by the end of a 40 to 45 minute lesson the students have great gained quite a lot of facility in using the software and Hardware as its own instrument.\r\n\r\nThis has now been happening repeatedly in my classroom over the past months because of your generosity. The students are so thrilled every time they come to class and use the equipment and in particular use koala sampler to create their own loops and then they move that into a digital audio Workstation. They have generated songs that are insanely catchy and very very effective. And because there's lyrics involved this becomes a wonderful way of capturing some of the basic tenets of their language arts curriculum.\r\n\r\nThere are several students who have really found an identity and a reason to love coming to school.
