These art supplies and stress relief activities will help my students learn what works for them when they are in a heightened emotional state. Many people go their whole lives not understanding what to do when their emotions overtake them, so by donating it will my students be able to become more mindful of what they are feeling and what they need to do to reach a relaxed state. Students will be able to use coloring to distract their thoughts or use squishy toys & spinner rings as a sensory activity. Daily affirmation cards will be used to lift their confidence and allow them to gain motivation to become the person they strive to be. Emotions can be complicated and can be especially complicated in our students. By teaching them what they are and that there is a way to handle them when they get too loud is my goal with this project. We all need help in our lives to feel our emotions, even the uncomfortable ones, but having the tools and the safe space for them to explore the emotions can benefit them in their lives now, and in the future.
