My students look so forward to their trips to our treasure boxes. There are so many options in it now that they have a really hard time deciding which items to choose! But this has made them work even harder to earn more rewards and in turn more visits to the treasure boxes. \r\n I usually use the index cards to let my students make labels for their many workbooks. However, they proved useful for a language and art integration project we did to display on our bulletin board. The students were given a root word and compiled a list of words that come from that root. Students then wrote them, defined, and decorated a card for each word they found. Finally, they displayed the cards in a ladder format. They loved this activity!\r\n The last item I want to thank you for is my book display. We have a lot of fiction books in our classroom library. I use this new display for non-fiction books. I've seen an increase in the students picking books from it.
