My students love incredibly diverse genres and forms of music. They represent over 21 different languages and perform in many of these. They not only learn and perform the works of masters, they write and perform their own! They perform on multiple instruments and in varying styles. And they perform with excellence as the awards they win at competition prove. We are a part of an Arts-Integration learning community under the guidance of the Kennedy Center. Students use Visual and Performing Arts to express and further learning in reading, social studies and in their general education STEM classes. Their achievement is surprising, innovative and of the highest level. Many of our students have gone on to Performing Arts High Schools and Technical Schools where they have furthered and nurtured their outstanding skills and achievement.
