These experiences go beyond what textbooks alone can offer—they allow students to experiment, make predictions, and truly see physics in action.\r\n\r\nYour contribution is making a meaningful difference in my classroom. It not only enhances student learning but also sparks curiosity and excitement about science. Many of my students benefit greatly from interactive learning, and your support helps create an environment where they can thrive and feel confident exploring challenging concepts.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in my students and in the power of education. Because of your contributions, our students now have access to a professional-quality podcasting setup, including microphones, headphones, and a recording device. This technology has transformed the way students engage with storytelling, communication, and media production. Instead of just learning about audio production in theory, students are now able to plan, record, and edit their own podcasts, developing real-world skills in collaboration, speaking, and creative expression.\r\n\r\nWhat has been most exciting is seeing how quickly students have embraced the equipment. Many of them are familiar with podcasts as listeners, but having the opportunity to step into the role of creators has been incredibly empowering. Students are learning how to manage audio levels, conduct interviews, and structure episodes, all while working together in small production teams. The hands-on experience has made learning more meaningful and has given students a sense of ownership over their work.\r\n\r\nSeveral students who are typically more reserved in class have especially connected with this project. The podcast format has given them a voice in a new way, allowing them to express their ideas confidently and creatively. Watching their confidence grow as they record and share their stories has been one of the most rewarding parts of this experience. The iPad you helped provide has already become an essential tool in ways I didn't fully anticipate when I submitted the project.\r\n\r\nI teach a dual-enrollment Introduction to American Politics course in partnership with Nevada State University, as well as an honors economics course built around project-based learning. In both settings, the iPad has changed how I move through the room. Rather than being anchored to my desk or a whiteboard, I can now sit alongside students as they work — pulling up sources, annotating readings in real time, and giving feedback right where the learning is happening. That kind of side-by-side coaching is hard to replicate from the front of a room.\r\n\r\nThe most visible impact has been during our economics PBL, where students designed economies for undeveloped locations around the world and pitched their ideas to classmates acting as investors. I used the iPad to circulate between groups during the research and planning phase, helping them interrogate their sources and sharpen their reasoning on the spot. Students were making real decisions — weighing trade-offs, analyzing scarcity, defending their market choices — and having a portable device meant I could be present in those moments rather than pulling them away from their work.\r\n\r\nWhat excites students most, honestly, is seeing it used purposefully rather than as a gimmick. When they see me annotating a primary source during a political science discussion or pulling up real economic data mid-conversation, it models the kind of engaged, evidence-based thinking I'm asking them to do. That modeling matters more than any single lesson.","fullyFundedDate":1768500745744,"projectUrl":"project/tablet-for-reading-and-content-creation/9993479/","projectTitle":"Tablet for Reading and Content Creation","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Juliano","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9348559"},{"teacherId":9356591,"projectId":10006174,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for funding my DonorsChoose project!! We used the dry erase markers daily on modeling boards, I go through a lot of them so both students and myself appreciated having a variety of colors to differentiate variables and element symbols when solving chemical equations. Student used a different color dry erase marker when writing problems on modeling boards to easily show where chemical symbols were substituted for molar mass values. Many students struggle with isolating variables or substituting variables in an equation. Having a variety of colors allows students to follow a variable from its chemical symbol to its mathematical value within a problem. In half reactions students substitute the positive or negative value in place of the element(s) symbol to ensure they are using the correct value. Color coding greatly helps with checking work and visually identifying where errors were made so students can avoid repeating them.","fullyFundedDate":1699673011300,"projectUrl":"project/supplies-for-chemistry-labs-and-modeling/8009037/","projectTitle":"Supplies for Chemistry Labs and Modeling Boards","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Sager","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8154717"},{"teacherId":4184640,"projectId":9789257,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support in providing portable chargers for our school library.
