The students have been using their book bags to carry their books to and from school and they've done so much reading that they've earned a Principal's Party for every quarter! The earbuds really came in handy for state testing this year, because kids had their very own set. Our Fun Friday time and inclement weather days have been extra fun because the kids get to use the games and blocks your donation provided. \r\nWe are so thankful you were able to support our classroom this year. They have come together to support the others in our school through their art. \r\nHaving a variety of choices has increased their willingness to try. Crayones are no longer the only things we work with. There are markers think or fat, there are twists crayons and crayons with an ever fine point and enough to go around without waiting. \r\nYour donation has improved the overall feel of the class. The new headphones have made a huge difference. My students were immediately excited because they are colorful, comfortable, and fit them properly. With these headphones, students can fully engage in digital activities without distractions. They use them in the library while learning early coding skills and in the classroom as they work on individualized learning programs aligned with their goals. They will also be especially helpful during upcoming state testing, allowing students to feel more confident and prepared.\r\n\r\nWhat has been most exciting is how much ownership students feel over these tools. Having something that is truly \"theirs\" has increased their enthusiasm and focus during technology-based lessons.\r\n\r\nThe Play-Doh has also been an incredible addition to our classroom. It has brought a hands-on, creative element to learning sight words. Instead of simply memorizing, students are building their words, which keeps them engaged and excited to learn. I have noticed that this approach helps students stay focused for longer periods of time.\r\n\r\nIn particular, my students who need extra support with fine motor skills have greatly benefited. The act of kneading, rolling, and shaping the Play-Doh is strengthening their hand muscles while they learn, supporting both their physical development and academic growth.\r\n\r\nI am truly grateful for this donation. These resources have made a meaningful difference in my classroom by increasing student engagement, supporting diverse learning needs, and making learning both fun and effective.","fullyFundedDate":1768746866890,"projectUrl":"project/helping-students-learn-explore-and-gro/10011981/","projectTitle":"Helping Students Learn, Explore, and Grow","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Boysen","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10401044_orig.jpg?crop=3024,3024,x0,y453&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1768583904745","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10401044"},{"teacherId":9690575,"projectId":10019626,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity. For example, I have given lunch boxes and water bottles away to students in need. I have provided snacks to students who missed breakfast, missed lunch, or just were simply hungry and having a hard time concentrating. \r\n\r\nMy students were very excited to receive incentives for excellent attendance and behavior such as the rubber ducks, stickers, and bubbles. The mural is being painted on a large, quality canvas that will be installed on a wall at our school. Before it is installed the matte varnish will be painted over the angel wings image to protect the painting. Each student is painting a feather for the wings and they will write their name on it. The intention of the mural is to be a backdrop for students to have their picture taken in front of the wings so it looks like they have wings. The fifth graders will be leaving behind a legacy that is a symbol of hope, joy and resilience. \r\n\r\nThe students were very excited when they saw the large canvas with the wings sketch on it. They couldn't wait to get started painting their feather. All the students understand the significance of the symbol and also love the idea of younger students being able to have their photograph taken \"wearing\" the wings. \r\n\r\nThe students will begin by using painting techniques for changing the value of a color. They are painting their feather from light to dark. After they finsh that step they will paint a line design of a feather with decorative lines over the top of the color they have chosen in white or blakc and include their name in this decorative line overlay. Once we have finished the wings students will decide on the background, perhaps clouds or a rainbow and will paint that. It is very exciting and a lot of fun!","fullyFundedDate":1768177183635,"projectUrl":"project/our-angel-wings/10003983/","projectTitle":"Our Angel Wings","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Corliss","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8131911"},{"teacherId":10408269,"projectId":10031967,"letterContent":"The items that were donated were an amazing addition to my classroom. The new instruments, the washboard and spoons, were a great addition to our songs that we have been playing and getting ready for a concert.\r\n\r\nThe prizes in that were donated to the classroom treasure box have been greatly received by students who were showing excellent behavior in the class. They also loved the slap bracelets. \r\n\r\nThank you also for the composition journals both primary and regular composition journals.
