My students need STEM activities to increase their engagement in all areas by helping them realize real world applications for what they are learning. STEM activities provide a problem that must be solved. Students use inquiry based investigations to spark curiosity and build interest. With STEM my students will be ready for the rigorous and technically focused demands of the 21st century. These activities will leave them prepared for a world after school. They will learn creative thinking skills as well as spacial awareness and manipulation. They will use all of their academic skills, such as writing, reading and mathematics, to respond to challenges. Students will use the magnetic blocks, K'Nex, and Keva Connect to solve real world challenges by designing, building and modifying an experiment to meet a goal. There confidence will grow by leaps and bounds.
