I would love to be able to include flexible seating in my classroom. We have independent reading time as well as reading centers, and I think this flexible seating would great for students to use. Students are able to concentrate and enjoy independent reading time when they are comfortable and relaxed. I also believe by giving students options, we are motivating them. I wanted the comfort chairs for reading and the soft sit spots for centers or even a group activity during math stations or literacy centers. I think the bouncing balls would be a great way for some students to get the wiggles out but also expend and extra energy they may have in a positive manner. Students get excited over different and fun items in the classroom, and become motivated not only to learn but to make smart choices in behavior, as well. I believe flexible seating help create a positive learning environment for the students of my class.
