The battery-operated candles will add a beautiful visual element to our performance, and our new portable speaker will allow us to use music and accompaniment more effectively during rehearsals and performances.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to continue rehearsing and combine singing, movement, instruments, and lights into our winter concert program. One of my favorite moments was watching students work together to build and read CVC words while encouraging each other with excitement and confidence. The math manipulatives, dominoes, and sorting activities have also helped students strengthen counting, number recognition, problem-solving, and fine-motor skills through play-based learning. My student's parents and I have seen the impact these materials have had. \r\n\r\nThe general classroom materials (technology wipes, whiteboard markers, digital clock, organizational materials, clipboard) allowed the students to practice everyday life skills within the classroom setting. Some of these materials also brought about more easily defined places to find materials during our reading centers and allowed for more activities where students are moving about the classroom. \r\n\r\nThe SEL materials have had an impact on how many students view each other and the world around them. In class, I have seen an increase in appropriate verbal communication usage to resolve conflict. Students are also more aware of their own impact within a community.
