For many of my students with autism, new objects can sometimes be overwhelming, but these materials were met with instant curiosity and joy. The Polydron Building Manipulatives were a massive hit right out of the box; seeing the kids work together to snap the giant pieces together to build \"sensory forts\" was a beautiful moment of social-emotional growth that I hadn't seen quite so clearly before.\r\n\r\nWe are currently using the Bouncy Board and Noise Cancelling Headphones as essential tools for our \"Regulation Station.\" When a student feels a sensory meltdown coming on, they now have the tools to advocate for their needs. I watched one of my students, who often struggles with loud transitions, independently grab the new earmuffs and settle into a task with a smile instead of distress. Meanwhile, the Letter Crayons have turned our phonics lessons into a tactile game, helping my students with speech delays and learning disabilities connect with literacy in a way that feels like play rather than work.\r\n\r\nOur next steps are to integrate the Primary Favorite Games into our weekly \"Social Skills Circle.\" We are focusing on turn-taking and emotional regulation when things don't go our way during a game. When my students first saw the vibrant Kidfetti pellets and the various \"Explore Boards,\" their faces lit up with curiosity. One of the most impactful moments occurred during our morning center time: a student who typically struggles to engage with peers spent twenty minutes at the sensory bin, using the new sand and pellets to practice \"give and take\" play with a classmate. The vibrating jellyfish and chewy necklaces have also become essential \"safety nets,\" providing the immediate sensory input my students need to regulate their bodies so they can focus on their lessons rather than feeling overwhelmed.\r\n\r\nWe are specifically finding that the communication cards and AAC tools are life-changing during transitions and our time spent outside the classroom. Transitions can be the most challenging part of the day for a child with autism, but having portable visuals allows my students to see exactly what is coming next, which lowers their anxiety. When we leave the familiar four walls of our room to head to the playground or the cafeteria, these cards and talkers go with us. They provide a portable \"voice\" that allows my students to communicate their needs and feelings in loud or busy environments. Whether they are asking for a turn on the slide or telling a teacher they need a break, these resources ensure they are heard no matter where they are.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has truly given these incredible children a voice and the confidence to explore their entire school community.
