When the materials arrived, the room filled with high energy as students crowded around, excited to see what was inside. We introduced the Fraction War and Krypto games that same week, and one of my students who had grown frustrated with fractions was suddenly eager and engaged, asking to play round after round. Watching that shift from frustration to genuine interest was exactly the outcome I hoped for when I wrote this project.\r\n\r\nThe Rubik's Cubes have become a go-to for early finishers and brain breaks, and the game buzzers turned review sessions into full-blown Jeopardy competitions that the whole class looks forward to. We're continuing to build fraction fluency with these games as we head into our next math unit, and the new copy paper and laminating pouches mean I can create durable materials that will serve my students for years to come.\r\n\r\nYour generosity gave my students more than new tools. When my students first saw the boxes arrive, their eyes lit up with pure excitement. For many of my students with autism, new objects can sometimes be overwhelming, but these materials were met with instant curiosity and joy. The Polydron Building Manipulatives were a massive hit right out of the box; seeing the kids work together to snap the giant pieces together to build \"sensory forts\" was a beautiful moment of social-emotional growth that I hadn't seen quite so clearly before.\r\n\r\nWe are currently using the Bouncy Board and Noise Cancelling Headphones as essential tools for our \"Regulation Station.\" When a student feels a sensory meltdown coming on, they now have the tools to advocate for their needs. I watched one of my students, who often struggles with loud transitions, independently grab the new earmuffs and settle into a task with a smile instead of distress. Meanwhile, the Letter Crayons have turned our phonics lessons into a tactile game, helping my students with speech delays and learning disabilities connect with literacy in a way that feels like play rather than work.\r\n\r\nOur next steps are to integrate the Primary Favorite Games into our weekly \"Social Skills Circle.\" We are focusing on turn-taking and emotional regulation when things don't go our way during a game.
