With these resources, my students are able to build skills such as expanding their vocabulary and reading comprehension through auditory processing instead of relying on an image on a screen by listening to books on the Tonies box. This way of engaging in books also allows for them to be imaginative as they listen through this screen-free medium, as well as increasing their attention span and focus through active listening. \r\nAdditionally, they are able to build skills like connecting letters to sound, which are crucial pre reading skills. The Tonies box also gives them the opportunity to record their own stories, providing a means for independent story telling.
