This refrigerator is being used daily to ensure medications remain at the proper temperature, allowing us to respond quickly and confidently when students need care.\r\n\r\nIt has also allowed us to refrigerate protein snacks like GoGurts and cheese sticks for students who need a quick, nourishing boost during the day. For some of our children, especially in a Title I school, these snacks are not just a convenience — they are essential. A student managing blood sugar levels or simply trying to make it through the day without hunger can now receive a healthy, cold snack when needed.\r\n\r\nOne powerful moment came shortly after it was installed. A student who requires daily insulin came in for their scheduled visit, and we were able to properly store their medication and provide a protein snack afterward to help stabilize their levels. That simple routine — medication safely stored, snack readily available — meant they could return to class calm, steady, and ready to learn.\r\n\r\nWhen students and families learned we now had safe storage for both medications and healthy snacks, there was visible relief. Parents expressed gratitude knowing their child's health and nutritional needs were being thoughtfully supported throughout the school day.\r\n\r\nBecause this essential need has been met, we can now continue building a stronger culture of wellness in our school — one where students feel safe, cared for, and ready to focus on learning.\r\n\r\nYour donation did more than provide a refrigerator. It provided stability, dignity, nourishment, and peace of mind. Being a Title 1 school many of our students come to the health office feeling dizzy, nauseous, anxious or simply without having eaten. Having nutritious snacks readily available allows us to immediately support students who are sick, have low blood sugar, or need something gentle before returning to class. Sometimes, a small snack is the difference between a student going home early and a student feeling stable enough to stay and learn. With your gift you have helped us immensely to assist with this treatment and need. \r\n\r\nIn addition, accurate health monitoring is essential for student safety. New blood pressure cuffs in appropriate youth ad adult sizes has allowed us t o properly assess students who are experiencing headaches, dizziness, anxiety or other concerning symptoms. Reliable equipment ensures that we can make informed decisions, communicate clearly with families, and provide care with confidence and professionalism. \r\n\r\nYour donation has directly helped us respond quickly and compassionately to student needs. By providing both essential snacks and updated medical equipment, you have helped create a health office where students feel safe, supported, and cared for-allowing them to return to the classroom ready to focus and succeed.\r\n\r\nEvery item funded has strengthened our students well-being and has protected valuable learning time.","fullyFundedDate":1768706350102,"projectUrl":"project/healthy-students-ready-to-learn-health/10023027/","projectTitle":"Healthy Students, Ready to Learn: Health Office Essentials","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Taylor","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10404693"},{"teacherId":8168620,"projectId":9987619,"letterContent":"I am incredibly grateful for your support of our project, \"Comfort in the Classroom.\" Thanks to you, our students now have access to quiet corner pillows, a large bean bag chair, engaging board games, and a table file sorter that helps keep our learning space organized.\r\n\r\nMiddle school can be an emotional and transitional time for students. As a Title I school, many of our students do not always have access to extracurricular resources like these, which makes your support even more meaningful.\r\n\r\nWe are currently using the new poms during our pep assemblies and at school-wide events to lead our \"Growing School Spirit \" project. Our student cheer leaders created chants focused on positive character traits like kindness, perseverance, and teamwork. One special moment that stood out was during our first assembly after the poms arrived—when our cheer group performed, the entire student body joined in. The energy in the room was electric. Students who are typically shy were smiling, clapping, and fully engaged. It was a powerful reminder that school spirit helps students feel connected and seen.\r\n\r\nWhen the poms were first revealed, the excitement was immediate. There were gasps, cheers, and smiling faces all around. Our students felt proud and important—like their voices and their spirit truly matter. For many of them, this was the first time they had brand-new spirit equipment just for their team. They handled them with such care and appreciation.\r\n\r\nNext, our students are working on choreographing routines for upcoming community events and athletic games. They are also collaborating to write original chants that reflect our school values and celebrate our diverse student body. Beyond performances, we are using this opportunity to teach leadership skills, responsibility, and teamwork. The confidence they are building now will carry into the classroom and beyond.\r\n\r\nYour contribution did more than provide cheer poms—it strengthened our school culture and reminded our students that people believe in them.
