Our students are used to working with broken colored pencils on cheap copy paper. They receive minimal exposure to fine art programs because the cost for these programs is so high. This leaves the burden to provide supplies on the school and teachers. I have worked hard to repurpose supplies, but we lack the provisions needed to complete standard based assignments and make quality projects. With your support, our students will be able to finish their whole-school projects and use the paints to complete their Georgia O’Keeffe presentations. This will allow students the opportunity to stretch their imaginations and use their critical-thinking skills to create unique art. It is my goal to provide well-rounded lessons that share artistic concepts and expose students to different mediums. This way the students have a positive, cheerful, and well-rounded learning experience.
