Every day, your support reminds us that we are not alone in our mission to provide our students with meaningful opportunities to learn, grow, and succeed.\r\n\r\nThe materials provided through Donors Choose are making a tremendous difference in our classroom. These resources are being used to strengthen teaching and learning across reading, mathematics, science, social studies, and social-emotional learning. Each resource opens another door for our students to explore, question, practice, and discover their own abilities.\r\n\r\nYour generosity is helping us bridge the gap that exists when students do not have consistent access to the learning materials they need. What may seem like a simple classroom resource can become a powerful learning opportunity for a child. Because of you, our students are able to engage in learning in new and exciting ways while developing skills that will support them far beyond the classroom.\r\n\r\nDonorsChoose has sparked a new level of thinking among our students. They are becoming more curious, more confident, and more willing to challenge themselves. We see their excitement when new materials arrive, and we witness their eagerness to take advantage of every opportunity placed before them. Our students are grasping every opportunity provided, and that is a beautiful thing to witness.\r\n\r\nYour generosity is doing more than providing supplies—you are helping to create experiences, build confidence, encourage curiosity, and inspire possibilities. You are showing our students that their education matters and that there are people who believe in their potential.\r\n\r\nThere is truly not a day that goes by when our hearts are not filled with gratitude. Thank you for investing in our students, believing in their future, and giving them the tools they need to reach their fullest potential.\r\n\r\nThank you so much for helping us bridge the gap by providing resources that make learning more engaging, meaningful, and accessible for our students. We are using these materials every day to strengthen skills in reading, math, science, social studies, and social-emotional learning. One special classroom moment was watching students eagerly gather around the new materials, explore them, and immediately begin asking questions and sharing ideas. Their excitement was contagious! When they first saw the resources, their faces lit up with curiosity and joy. They were excited to touch, explore, and discover how the materials could help them learn. It was a beautiful reminder that having the right resources can spark a whole new level of thinking and engagement.\r\n\r\nOur students are continuing to use these resources as they work through current lessons, practice new skills, collaborate with classmates, and make connections across subjects. They are grasping every opportunity provided to them, and we are seeing increased confidence as they participate and challenge themselves. As we move forward, students will continue applying what they have learned through hands-on activities, reading and math practice, science and social studies investigations, and opportunities to develop their social-emotional skills. They eagerly anticipate the fun activities that come with the use of whiteboards, and in this case, it was working on sounding out words to construct sentences. In another picture, you'll see one of our fourth graders using the new Expo markers. Although not many pictures were taken, the new colors for the markers allowed me to color-code various elements. For instance, we engage in an advanced word study activity where we work with the children on different vowel sounds, such as long, short, open, and closed vowels. With these markers, I was able to use multiple colors to distinguish between the word being studied and the necessary markings.
