The manipulatives and learning tools have helped make abstract concepts more concrete, allowing students to better understand and apply what they are learning. One specific moment that stood out was during a math lesson where students used the new hands-on materials to solve addition and subtraction problems. there was a noticeable increase in confidence and participation, even from students who are usually more reserved.\r\n\r\nThe snacks also created a positive and motivating environment, helping students stay focused and engaged throughout longer learning tasks. \r\n\r\nGoing forward, we will continue building on these resources as we move into more challenging concepts. The Pop-Tarts have been such a thoughtful addition, giving students a quick snack when they need it most, helping them stay energized and ready to learn throughout the day.\r\nThe fidgets have been incredibly helpful for students who need support with focus and self-regulation. I've already seen improvements in their ability to stay on task and participate more confidently. Lastly, the floor chair cushions have created a comfortable and flexible seating option, allowing students to choose a space where they feel relaxed and ready to learn.\r\nYour generosity has not only provided materials but has also created a classroom environment where students feel cared for, supported, and motivated. These materials have truly made a difference in our day to day learning.\r\n\r\nMy students use the whiteboards, markers, and erasers all the time during lessons. It's been especially helpful during reading and math because they can quickly show their thinking, make changes, and try again without worrying about mistakes. It's also made participation go way up since everyone has a way to respond.\r\n\r\nThe storage bins have honestly been a game changer for me. I'm now able to organize all of my phonics materials, which makes it so much easier to grab what I need and keep small group time running smoothly. The classroom just feels more organized overall, and that helps both me and the students stay focused.\r\n\r\nThe timer has also been great. The students can actually see how much time they have left, which has helped them stay on task and manage their time better. It's something simple, but it's made a big difference.\r\n\r\nAnd the treasure box has definitely been a favorite. Students get to choose an item when they turn in homework or complete their assignments on their Chromebooks, and they absolutely love it. It's been a fun way to motivate them and celebrate their effort.\r\n\r\nWhen they first saw everything, they were so excited and couldn't wait to start using it. You could tell they felt proud to have these new tools in our classroom.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, we'll continue using these materials every day as we work on building stronger reading, writing, and math skills. We have begun using several of the resources right away, especially the wiggle seat cushions and feelings posters. One teacher shared that a student who typically struggles to stay seated during lessons was able to remain focused for a longer period while using a wiggle seat, allowing him to fully participate in instruction. When students first saw the new materials, they were excited and curious—many were eager to try the fidgets and asked thoughtful questions about how the posters could help them understand their feelings. It has been powerful to see students begin to connect their emotions with strategies to manage them.\r\n\r\nThe feelings posters have been especially impactful as teachers start incorporating them into daily classroom routines. Students are beginning to use more specific language to describe how they feel and are practicing coping strategies with guidance. Even in these early stages, we are seeing small but important moments—students pausing to identify their emotions, choosing a tool to help themselves calm down, and returning to learning more quickly. These are big steps toward building independence and self-regulation.\r\n\r\nAs we look ahead, our goal is to fully implement these resources across all classrooms at the start of the next school year. We plan to introduce structured lessons around emotional awareness, goal setting, and self-management, using the posters, journals, and visual supports created with the laminating materials. Students will continue building their emotional vocabulary while also strengthening their focus and persistence in academic tasks. We have been using these new resources daily—whether it's through our reward system for positive behavior and academic growth, or incorporating the tools into small group instruction and independent practice. One of my favorite moments was watching students work through a challenging math task and then proudly earn a reward for persevering. It turned a moment that could have been frustrating into one filled with confidence and pride.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the materials, their reactions were priceless. There were smiles, excitement, and so many questions about how they could earn rewards and use the new tools. It immediately created a sense of ownership and accountability in the classroom. Students are now more engaged, more willing to take risks, and more motivated to stay focused because they know their hard work is recognized. Even my quieter students have started to participate more, which has been incredibly rewarding to see as their teacher.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, these resources will continue to support our current lessons and upcoming projects. As we prepare for important assessments like SBAC, the tools and incentives are helping students stay focused, build stamina, and maintain a positive mindset. We are also using them to reinforce goal-setting, where students track their progress and celebrate growth along the way. I am writing to share the incredible impact your donation has had on my students from Kindergarten through 4th grade.\r\n\r\nBringing Code to Life\r\nWith the arrival of the Botley robots, my students didn't just learn about technology—they held it in their hands. For many of our younger learners, \"programming\" felt like a distant, complex concept. Now, they see it as a series of logic-based puzzles they are fully capable of solving.\r\n\r\nHands-On Problem Solving\r\nThe classroom was filled with energy as the students built elaborate obstacle courses using blocks and classroom supplies. Watching them navigate these challenges was inspiring.\r\n\r\nLogical Thinking: Students had to visualize the robot's path and translate that into a sequence of commands.\r\n\r\nDocumentation: Even our youngest learners practiced \"keeping track\" of their programs, marking down steps and adjusting their code when the robot hit a stray block.\r\n\r\nResilience: When a program didn't work the first time, there weren't frustrated tears—there was excitement to \"debug\" and try again.\r\n\r\nTeamwork and Community\r\nPerhaps the most rewarding part of this project was watching the collaboration. Students worked in small groups, learning how to listen to one another's ideas, take turns with the remote programmer, and celebrate together when their Botley successfully reached the finish line.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in these young minds and for making STEM accessible, tactile, and—most importantly—fun.
