Because of your support, our students now have access to engaging, hands-on learning materials that are making a real difference in their daily learning. We've been using these resources in small group instruction and individualized lessons to help students build confidence and strengthen their skills. One special moment that stood out was watching a student who typically struggles stay focused and excited while using the new materials—something that doesn't always come easily for them.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new supplies, they were immediately curious and eager to jump in. There was a lot of excitement in the room, and they couldn't wait to start exploring. For many of our students, having new and interactive tools makes learning feel fun and approachable, which helps them stay engaged longer and take more risks in their learning.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, we will continue using these materials to support current lessons and build on essential skills in reading, math, and problem-solving. Our goal is to keep creating opportunities for students to grow academically while also building their confidence and independence. One of our favorite activities has been using the paint to mix colors. Students love experimenting and discovering how new colors are created. It's been a hands-on, joyful learning moment watching them explore and get excited about their creations. We've also been using essential supplies like paper towels and soap to help keep our classroom clean and our students healthy, which is so important for our daily routines. When the materials first arrived, the students were very excited to see what was in all of the boxes.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we're continuing to build on this excitement through new projects. We recently planted seeds for a classroom garden, and students are already learning about caring for plants and watching them grow. Next, we'll connect this to our lessons by having students draw and paint what they observe as the plants begin to sprout. These experiences are helping us create a classroom full of curiosity, creativity, and hands-on learning. We're so thankful for the support that makes it all possible.","fullyFundedDate":1768170928143,"projectUrl":"project/pre-k-paint-and-essential-supplies/10002425/","projectTitle":"Pre-K Paint and Essential Supplies","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Dunsmoor","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10049337"},{"teacherId":9351538,"projectId":10019943,"letterContent":"Our school has been full of energy and excitement since the new play equipment arrived! Your contribution has provided the tangible tools my students need to bridge the gap between the classroom and the real world. Since integrating this equipment into our daily curriculum through serving the staff, we have seen a remarkable shift in three key areas:\r\n\r\nFostering True Independence: Instead of relying on hand-over-hand assistance, students are now mastering multi-step technical processes. They are learning that they can navigate complex tasks on their own, which has skyrocketed their self-confidence.\r\n\r\nA Newfound Love for Work: Work used to be a daunting concept for many of my students. Now, they walk into the room with a sense of purpose. They take immense pride in \"clocking in\" and seeing a tangible product at the end of their shift.\r\n\r\nMastering Customer Service: Having professional-grade equipment has allowed us to run a mock storefront. My students are learning how to greet \"customers,\" handle requests with a smile, and troubleshoot problems in real-time. They aren't just learning a trade; they are learning how to connect with their community.","fullyFundedDate":1768705751746,"projectUrl":"project/preparing-sped-students-for-life/10029843/","projectTitle":"Preparing SpEd students for Life","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Kramer","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9348468"},{"teacherId":9359050,"projectId":9990896,"letterContent":"When the students first saw the new materials, the excitement was definitely noticeable. There were wide eyes and immediate whispers of \"Is that rug for us?\" as they hovered around the new colorful centerpiece of the room. The library area rug has completely redefined our space, moving us away from hard plastic chairs and toward a cozy, collaborative environment. Students now have a \"soft landing\" where they feel safe to relax, which has drastically improved their attitude toward visiting the library. It is no longer just a place to check out books; it has become a place where they feel at home.\r\nWe are currently using the board games to encourage social interaction among students before and after school. A specific moment that stands out was seeing a group of typically reserved students huddled on the rug over a game, laughing and communicating more in thirty minutes than they had all semester. Even the Kleenex has definitely been appreciated, so the students don't have to run all the way to the restroom to blow their nose. These resources have collectively turned the library into the vibrant heart of the school.","fullyFundedDate":1768412760543,"projectUrl":"project/mr-severts-library-safe-haven/9990896/","projectTitle":"Mr. Severts Library Safe Haven","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Severts","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9359050_orig.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1699891843905","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9359050"},{"teacherId":9388667,"projectId":10029250,"letterContent":"The new materials have really helped to motivate my students to do their best on high stakes and state tests. Not only did the students have to make a goal they had to make a goal that showed significant gains. Some students had to make up a years time to reach their stretch goal. This is very difficult so the students have been working very hard to catch up with the skills and standards they need to learn to succeed.
