Students are engaged when reading Scholastic News because it is what THEY want to read about. These articles inspire students and teach them to be active citizens and to think critically about the world around them. There are many amazing components to Scholastic News. The digital resources include videos, graphic organizers, and photographs to engage students and motivate them to discover more. There are also writing prompts and activities that go with the articles to help students practice various skills. The most important part about Scholastic News is that it is an engaging nonfiction resource. Students need more practice reading and comprehending nonfiction materials and Scholastic News is the perfect way to do it. With the digital and print resources, students will be able to engage with nonfiction texts at school or at home.
