As a white male teacher a female student asked me, \"why did you choose to work in a school like this when you can go to the all white schools?\" Another student answered, \"because he doesn't see color, all he wants to do is help.\" At that moment I realized the books I received from the project and the activities we completed all month was making a difference. \r\n\r\n I believe all of the students read the picture books I ordered and they all wrote a five paragraph essay on a topic related to black history month.
