These books will help my students learn to read on grade level if they are not already. As a first year teacher, it has been difficult to get everything that my students need in order for them to become better readers. Aside from the curriculum, I want them to be able to read books that appeal to their interests. I want to make reading fun for my students and teach them that reading can take them anywhere. If they learn to read on grade level they will be able to do well in other subject areas. My goal for them is to love reading so that they will feel more confident about their abilities.
