Because of you, our middle school students now have the tools they need to make a real difference in their community.\r\n\r\nWith your donations of trash grabbers, trash bags, safety vests, and gloves, our students are fully equipped to safely participate in community clean-up efforts. These materials are not just supplies—they are empowering students to take pride in their environment and see firsthand the impact they can make.\r\n\r\nIn addition, the leadership workbooks, posters, and markers you provided are helping us grow the next generation of leaders. Our students are learning how to organize projects, work as a team, and advocate for positive change in their school and community.\r\n\r\nThis club is especially meaningful to us because we recently lost funding, and your support has allowed us to continue this important work. You didn't just fund a project—you helped keep a meaningful opportunity alive for our students.\r\n\r\nBecause of you, our students are building confidence, responsibility, and a strong sense of community. Our students are actively using all eight hydroponics tables to grow leafy greens, herbs, and starter plants while learning about plant science, water chemistry, and sustainable agriculture. One of our most powerful moments came when students harvested their very first crop—many of them had never grown food before, and seeing their excitement as they held something they nurtured from seed to harvest was unforgettable. They immediately began asking questions about how to improve yield, adjust nutrients, and even how this could be scaled to help communities.\r\n\r\nWhen the tables first arrived, the reaction was pure excitement. Students were in awe of the setup and couldn't wait to get started. There was an instant sense of ownership—students were volunteering for roles, organizing planting schedules, and collaborating in ways that went far beyond a typical classroom lesson. It quickly became more than just a project; it became their system to manage and improve.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, our next steps are focused on deepening both the science and the real-world application. Students are currently tracking plant growth data, experimenting with variables like light and nutrient levels, and making evidence-based decisions to optimize their systems. We are also working toward bringing our produce to a small local market this summer, giving students an authentic farm-to-market experience. This project has sparked curiosity, teamwork, and a sense of purpose—and it continues to grow every single day because of your support.","fullyFundedDate":1769047641377,"projectUrl":"project/growing-knowledge/10044623/","projectTitle":"Growing Knowledge","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Pusko","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp3117733_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1474816676846","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mr-pusko"},{"teacherId":4578359,"projectId":10034679,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your incredible generosity! Students across three classes, Broadcast, TV Production, and Publications, have been working diligently on major projects. The impact of your gift was felt immediately in our Mac computer lab. While many people use a mouse at home for simple navigation, my students use them as precision tools to meet state standards for digital editing, where they must manipulate video and adjust multiple audio sources with frame-by-frame accuracy. The improved functionality, working scroll wheels, and smoothness on the screen have completely removed the technical frustration that used to stall their creative flow. They can now focus on the pacing and timing of their stories rather than struggling with unresponsive hardware.\r\n\r\nTV Production students were very excited (and somewhat nervous) to use the new wireless microphones to record their first professional voice-overs. In our curriculum, students are required to demonstrate proper placement of microphones for effective audio and monitor sound levels to ensure broadcast quality. Seeing and hearing their results was fun for everyone. It helped cultivate a more supportive classroom as students watched each others' finished projects and cheered for one another.","fullyFundedDate":1768719430669,"projectUrl":"project/mice-mics-for-tv-production/10034679/","projectTitle":"Mice & Mics for TV Production","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Sorensen","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp4578359_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1501109089507","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4578359"},{"teacherId":5743950,"projectId":10019701,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation to my project! Small things like new paperback rounders and a fun cafe sign make the library more inviting for all who enter. The rounders have allowed me to better organize the paperback series students love and check out the most. I will be using one of the rounders to create a \"Build a Book Club\" station where books that have multiple copies will be stored for those friend groups that like to read the same book at the same time. \r\n\r\nStudents were excited to see the new rounders which are definitely a huge upgrade from the old metal rounders we had before. The cafe sign was first used to welcome the 5th graders when they came over to our campus for a tour. Students and teachers alike commented on how cute it is and how it makes a nice addition to the library. I am excited to be able to use it to highlight library information and events. The plastic bins are not out just yet, but they will be used to organize titles face-front on the book shelves. Some of our STEAM activities, like STEM kits, will be stored in the bins as well. This helps to keep our activity center clean and organized.\r\n\r\nAll of these items are a game-changer for the library. Your support has made a significant difference in our learning environment, and I want to share just how impactful your contribution has been.\r\n\r\nThe organizational materials have transformed the way our classroom operates. With well-organized storage solutions for our various supplies, students can easily access the tools they need for their experiments and projects. This accessibility has not only enhanced their engagement but also increased their independence in managing their learning. By fostering a more streamlined environment, we have seen notable improvements in student focus and productivity.\r\n\r\nMoreover, the cleaning supplies you provided have played a crucial role in maintaining a safe and clean workspace. Keeping our classroom free from clutter and germs is vital, especially in a hands-on learning setting where students are frequently experimenting with materials and equipment. Your contribution ensures that we uphold high standards of cleanliness and safety, allowing students to explore and innovate without hesitation.\r\n\r\nThe positive impact of your support extends beyond just the physical materials. It has inspired our students to take pride in their classroom and collaborate effectively as they work on various STEM projects. They now understand the importance of organization and cleanliness in scientific inquiry, which are invaluable lessons they will carry forward in their educational journeys.\r\n\r\nOnce again, thank you for your generous support. Your commitment to enhancing the educational experience of our students is deeply appreciated. We look forward to the continued growth of our STEM programs, fueled by the resources you've provided.","fullyFundedDate":1745432487619,"projectUrl":"project/professional-projects-for-middle-schoole/9199279/","projectTitle":"Professional Projects for Middle Schoolers","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Kazel","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8116727_orig.jpg?crop=1152,1152,x0,y122&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1634325888619","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8116727"},{"teacherId":3117733,"projectId":9160447,"letterContent":"We are going to be using this laser to extend our Digital Design classes and ultimately create a school-branded shop where we can generate a revenue stream to directly fund the STEAM program.
