Your generosity has made a meaningful and lasting impact on my students, and we are deeply grateful for the opportunity you have provided. Because of your contribution, my students now have access to tools that allow them to transfer large-scale images with accuracy and ease, something that once felt intimidating and out of reach for many of them.\r\n\r\nBefore receiving this support, creating large murals was a challenging task that often left students feeling unsure of their abilities. Scaling up their ideas from small sketches to large surfaces required skills and resources we simply did not have. Now, thanks to you, that barrier has been removed. Students can confidently approach mural projects, knowing they have the guidance and tools needed to succeed. This has not only improved their technical skills but has also boosted their confidence in their artistic abilities.\r\n\r\nThe excitement in the classroom has been incredible to witness. Students are eager to begin new projects, collaborate with one another, and experiment with bold ideas. They are learning how to plan, design, and execute large-scale artwork, all while developing patience, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. These experiences go far beyond art—they are building confidence that will carry into other areas of their lives.\r\n\r\nThe murals themselves have transformed our learning environment. What were once plain walls are now vibrant, expressive backdrops that reflect the creativity and voices of our students. Each mural tells a story and represents the hard work and dedication of the young artists who created it. Students take great pride in seeing their work displayed on such a large scale, and it has fostered a strong sense of ownership and accomplishment.\r\n\r\nYour support has also helped students understand the value of community and generosity. They recognize that someone believed in their potential enough to invest in their education and creativity. This realization inspires them to work harder and to appreciate the opportunities they have been given. It also encourages them to think about how they can give back and support others in the future.\r\n\r\nWe cannot thank you enough for making this project possible. Your kindness has opened doors for my students and has allowed them to experience the joy of creating art in a powerful and meaningful way. The confidence they are gaining through this process is something that will stay with them long after the murals are complete.\r\n\r\nFrom all of us, thank you for believing in our students and for helping them bring their creativity to life on a larger scale than ever before.","fullyFundedDate":1768244026970,"projectUrl":"project/murals-with-confidence/9989313/","projectTitle":"Murals with Confidence","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Sinnott","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9355124_orig.png?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1722304274114","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9355124"},{"teacherId":7195463,"projectId":7007938,"letterContent":"Starting a book club with students who are (admittedly) not the fondest of reading was quite the challenge. As a librarian, I view things out of my librarian's eye, but it was interesting to see how similar, and how very different, our perspectives were during certain beats of the story. \r\n\r\nStudents were eager to come to book club and asked about it every week. Its success made me consider having more and with younger grades too. It's important to read for pleasure and to ask questions as your reading, but not in a way that feels like a chore that school demands of you. As a first-year teacher, being surplused and placed into a new school, and then stepping into a classroom that already had an established routine without me, was a huge challenge. I wasn't their first teacher, and I knew I had to work extra hard to build trust, create consistency, and make my students feel safe and supported again. Your generosity played a huge role in helping me do exactly that.\r\n\r\nWhen the new materials arrived, it truly felt like a turning point for our class. The students were immediately excited—there was a sense of curiosity and energy that hadn't been there before. Many of them gathered around, asking questions and eager to try everything out. For some students, it was the first time they felt like something in the classroom was \"just for them,\" and that moment mattered more than I can fully express.\r\n\r\nWe have been using these resources daily, and they've helped me establish stronger routines and more engaging lessons. One moment that really stood out was during a hands-on activity where students worked together to complete a diagram project. In the past, group work had been difficult because of trust and behavior challenges, but this time, I saw collaboration, communication, and even encouragement between students. They were proud of their work and excited to share it. That moment showed me that we are building something positive together.\r\n\r\nI am incredibly thankful for all of the materials you provided—from the learning centers to the new set of books and the stools we now use for our small groups. These items have made a real difference in how I structure my classroom. The stools, especially, have helped create a more focused and comfortable space for small group instruction, allowing me to work closely with students and meet their individual needs. The new books have sparked more interest in reading, and the centers have given students meaningful, hands-on opportunities to practice skills independently and collaboratively.\r\n\r\nThe materials have also helped me differentiate instruction and meet my students where they are. I've been able to create more interactive lessons that keep them engaged and focused, which has been key in rebuilding structure in the classroom. Students who were once hesitant are now participating more, raising their hands, and taking ownership of their learning.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, our next steps are to continue building on this momentum. We are working on strengthening both academic skills and classroom community. I plan to incorporate these resources into small group instruction, hands-on projects, and more collaborative activities that allow students to practice teamwork and critical thinking. We are also beginning a new unit where students will apply what they've learned in a larger project, and I'm excited to see how they use these tools to express their understanding.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, this classroom has transformed from a place of uncertainty into a space of growth, connection, and possibility. You didn't just provide materials—you helped create stability during a very challenging transition for both me and my students. Again, thank you so much for your generosity and support. It truly means more than words can express.","fullyFundedDate":1768164198939,"projectUrl":"project/end-kinder-year-with-a-bang/9998334/","projectTitle":"End Kinder Year with a Bang!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Soto","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5244227_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1702765335019","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5244227"},{"teacherId":8676029,"projectId":10028055,"letterContent":"My class has had a very good time using the whiteboard table.
