My students love to be at school. For many, it is the best part of their day. I don't want school to be a drag with boring desks, chairs, and seat work. Kids are supposed to move! I want to give my students the opportunity to select their seating in the classroom. Flexible seating allows students to select a seat where they can do their best possible work. Maybe it is on a Wobble Chairs, exercise ball, floor cushion, or standing up! I want my students to have the power to control their own learning. Powerful companies now give employees the chance to control where they work; why not our students too?
