It allows students to access learning in ways that are more personalized and supportive, whether through testing tools, educational apps, guided practice, or accommodations that help them show what they know. The technology has helped increase engagement, independence, and confidence, particularly for students who benefit from additional supports.\r\n\r\nWhat has been most exciting for students is having an interactive tool that makes learning feel accessible and engaging. They were eager to use the iPad right away, especially during small group instruction and learning activities where they could interact directly with lessons. For many students, using technology keeps them focused and motivated, and they take pride in using a resource that helps them succeed.\r\n\r\nSome students with specific learning needs have especially connected with this technology. Students who benefit from accommodations or individualized support have warmed to the iPad because it provides tools that help reduce frustration and build confidence during testing and classroom tasks. These basic supplies are used every day by students for note-taking, classwork, writing assignments, and collaborative activities. Having these materials readily available has allowed students to come to class prepared and focus on learning without worrying about not having the tools they need. One special moment was seeing students excited to start a writing activity with fresh supplies of their own, which helped build pride and motivation in their work.\r\n\r\nMy students were genuinely appreciative when they saw the new materials arrive. For many, something as simple as having reliable pens and paper creates confidence and removes barriers to participation. They were eager to use the supplies right away, and it was rewarding to see their excitement over resources that support their everyday success.\r\n\r\nThese donations will continue to support our classroom as students move into upcoming writing assignments, note-taking activities, and projects that require organization and creativity. Students created the mug shape that we call \"soup can shape\", then added an animal of their choice onto the side of their mug. They were instructed to add 2+ textures onto the side. \r\nThe students were surprised at how much harder it is to work with clay than what ticktock had showed them haha. When students first saw the props and costumes, they looked so excited. I believe that the costumes and props made them more enthusiastic to participate and do a good job. Since I did this project last year, I can make some comparisons about what a difference this donation meant. \r\n\r\n(1) Students started quicker. Sometimes it is difficult for my students to just get started on a big assignment. Many have never done a video project like this, and even more so have not made an advertisement. I noticed that my students who are incredibly shy and struggle to talk in class, wore very elaborate costumes and became amazing actors/actresses! I think the costumes and props really helped them get into character. \r\n\r\n(2) I got over 50 submissions for projects, which is a great improvement from last year! I think that the donation helped students get engaged with the project and encouraged them to get it turned in on-time. \r\n\r\n(3) The quality of the video projects were impressive. Many of my students were shocked with how many props and costumes were had. When my students saw I cared enough to ask for these supplies, and that someone nice enough like you funded it, they felt appreciated and wanted to do a good job. Most of my students received an A on this assignment, and a big part of that was because of you, dear Donor! So thank you so much.
