Seeing their faces light up as they realized these resources were specifically for their learning was a moment I won't soon forget; it immediately validated their hard work and made them feel truly supported by the community.\r\n\r\n1. From the moment the materials arrived, students were excited and eager to participate. I've already seen students putting in extra effort to study, asking more questions, and encouraging one another to improve.\r\n\r\nThese resources have helped build a classroom culture centered on growth, accountability, and celebration of progress. Students are not only working toward rewards, but also developing confidence in their abilities as they see their scores improve week by week. The activities that I can laminate, allows students to collaborate with each other and allows me to continue using them over several periods. \r\nAs students continue to create their notebooks, they've been using them on assignments and test. One standout activity was a T-shirt project we did, where students worked in groups and compared prices from different suppliers, wrote equations to represent the costs, analyzed and graphed them, and then created posters explaining their thinking. The markers and posters made it possible for students to collaborate, display their work, and take pride in what they created. Manipulatives, dry-erase markers, and mini erasers are now part of our everyday routine, helping students build confidence as they explore concepts like fractions and problem solving at whiteboards around the room.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the materials, they were excited and grateful. They loved the colorful math posters and famous mathematicians on the walls, and many students were eager to start using the hands-on tools right away. The snacks were especially meaningful—students felt supported and motivated, and it helped them stay focused when they chose to challenge themselves or go above and beyond. It was clear that they understood these materials were provided by people who care about their success.\r\n\r\nNext, students will continue strengthening their multiplication fact fluency with flash cards while using manipulatives to deepen their understanding of more complex math concepts. We'll keep building on real-world, collaborative projects that encourage students to explain their thinking, revise their ideas, and learn from one another. They were more focused, more engaged, and more willing to participate because they were actively doing the learning rather than just viewing it on a screen.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, these interactive notebooks will continue to be a central part of our classroom. One standout moment was during our recent animal adaptations project.
