Instruments don't play themselves, there are specific items that are required. Most instruments require reeds and mouthpieces to make sounds. They also require oils, creams, and other items for the instrument to function properly. Then once a student is finished playing, the instruments need to be cleaned with swabs, brushes, and other items. Keeping an instrument properly working is the only way to keep a student fully engaged in music-making. All of the items in this project will do these things. During a normal school year, I am able to provide these items to students when I have them available. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, students were not able to purchase them and the school ran out of them. A clean and functioning instrument will ensure a student can have a successful year of making beautiful music!
