Your generosity brought a wonderful collection of read-aloud books into our classroom, and they have already made a remarkable difference in our learning environment.\r\n\r\nThe students were immediately captivated. They laughed, engaged deeply with the stories, and even asked for several of the books to be read again and again. These read-alouds have helped them better understand our knowledge building curriculum, especially the social-emotional learning portion, and I've already seen them begin to apply those skills during our lab activities.\r\n\r\nOther books introduced students to inventors, builders, and the creative process. We are reading independently, together with partners or even as a whole class. Sometimes, we spend time just looking at pictures and learning how to read the information in a picture. We love to just tell one another what we think is going on in pictures before reading the text. \r\n\r\nI would have to say that all of my students are loving these books.
